Program Overview
 

The Wasatch Renegades Hockey Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to players and families who demonstrate financial need. The program will cover a portion or all of the registration fees, equipment costs, and other associated expenses related to participating in the Wasatch Renegades Hockey organization.

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

To be eligible for the scholarship program, players and families must meet the following criteria:

 

• Demonstrated financial need: Applicants must provide documentation of financial hardship, such as proof of income or eligibility for government assistance programs.

• Active participation: Players must be actively participating in one of the Wasatch Renegades Hockey programs.

• Commitment to the sport: Applicants should demonstrate a genuine passion for hockey and a commitment to regular attendance and participation in team activities.

• Academics: Players must be in good academic standing with their school.

 

Application Process:

 

• Interested applicants must complete and submit a scholarship application form, which can be obtained from the Wasatch Renegades Hockey organization's website. (below)

• Along with the application form, applicants must provide supporting documentation of financial need, such as recent pay stubs, tax returns, or proof of eligibility for government assistance programs.

 

Completed applications and supporting documents should be submitted to the scholarship committee for review.

 

Selection Process:

 

• The scholarship committee will review all applications and supporting documents.

• Applications will be evaluated based on financial need, commitment to the sport, and other relevant factors.

• Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the committee's assessment of need and available funding.

• All applicants will be notified of the committee's decision in a timely manner.

 

Terms and Conditions:

 

• Scholarship awards will be determined based on the availability of funds and the number of qualified applicants.

• Scholarship recipients must adhere to the rules and regulations of the Wasatch Renegades Hockey organization.

• Scholarship awards may be revoked if recipients fail to maintain active participation or demonstrate a lack of commitment to the sport.

• Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the Wasatch Renegades Hockey organization to cover registration fees, equipment costs, or other approved expenses.

 

Funding and Support

 

The Wasatch Renegades Hockey Scholarship Program relies on the generous support of donors, sponsors, and community partners. Through their contributions, we are able to provide financial assistance to deserving players and families, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to participate in our hockey programs. The Wasatch Renegades organization is committing a minimum of $30,000 to the scholarship fund.

The Wasatch Renegades Hockey organization is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all scholarship applicants. All information provided during the application process will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used for the purpose of assessing eligibility for financial assistance.
